Environmental Clearance for Thermal Power Plants
As per Schedule 1(d) of the EIA Notification, 2006, all Thermal Power Plants, including coal, lignite, gas, biomass, and waste-to-energy-based projects, are required to obtain prior Environmental Clearance (EC) from the competent authority.
