Environmental Clearance for Mining of Minerals
As per Schedule 1 (a) of the EIA Notification, 2006 issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, all projects involving the mining of minerals, including both opencast (surface) and underground mining, mandatorily require prior Environmental Clearance (EC) before commencement.
